Giraffes are quite popular maybe because they seem to defy gravity with their long neck and legs. They can reach the best of the tall acacia tree leaves. Their body colors just seemed right for choosing the tan suede board and allowing the surface to be part of the painting.
This is a beginner/intermediate level project done on 11"x14" Crescent tan suede board using Prismacolor Premier colored pencils.
