These koi fish were in a small lily garden of a friend and there were ducks in my pond so they came together for this painting. The dimensional lily is optional of course and could be painted in the foreground as a flat piece instead of the shaped piece especially if using watercolor paper instead of Multimedia Board.
This is an intermediate project created on black Multimedia Board with the lily being done on white Multimedia Board. The painting is done using Derwent Watercolor Pencils.
