This little bird is showcased against the large hollyhock flower. It is a wet on wet technique to start and then as the board or paper dries the detail can be done without bleeding color. I suggest using an extra small wet piece of your surface to practice colors and watch how much flare is happening.
This is an intermediate level project created with 8"x10" white Multimedia ArtBoard or watercolor paper using Derwent watercolor pencils.
The tutorial includes product use information, instructions, line pattern, color worksheet and photo.
