After photographing some morning glories winding around a neighbor's flagpole I decided an American Beauty Rose would work nicely in this composition. I did take a little artist license with the number of stars and stripes but figured the flag is folding with the breeze possibly hiding this fact. I hope you enjoy creating this patriotic painting no matter how many stars and stripes you decide to put in.
This is an intermediate level project created on white 11"x14" Multimedia ArtBoard or watercolor paper using Derwent watercolor pencils.
