Chipmunks are fun to watch hunting for food in the snow. The optional dimensional effect is just a matter of using a craft knife to slice the edge of the pinecone petals and lift the edges onto a mat. If you have access to pinecones it is always nice to have one to see how the petals grow in layers.
This is a beginner/intermediate project created on black Multimedia Artboard or other black surface using Derwent Watercolor Pencils.
