Every time I do a new painting subject I learn so much in the research process. The fur of this animal is different from many other animals. It is very thick and looks like it grows in rows that have been styled. This little Koala was curled up which seemed perfect for a round cut mat or frame but add a few leaves and a square would work well too.
This an intermediate level project created on 9"x9" black Multimedia ArtBoard or another black surface using Derwent Watercolor Pencils.
