This could be a match mate for the American Robins painting as that was the inspiration. This project offers some different techniques. The oak leaf mat painting is done with a wet on wet on a white surface technique and the bird is done with a direct pencil technique on a dry black surface. The cut out oak leaf piece could be a separate painting.
